PROBLEMS AND COMPLEXITIES IN CONCEPTUAL ART
PROBLEMS AND COMPLEXITIES IN CONCEPTUAL ART
2004

Problems and Complexities in Conceptual Art is structured after a conventional panel discussion. Each panelist is given 15-30 minutes to present topics of interest concerning the theme. These include verbal or slide presentations, performance, etc…. After all panelists have presented the panel itself will open to discussion through a mediator, the panel will then open to questions from the audience.

What makes this panel discussion unique: Based on a preliminary review of presentations one or more key words are chosen. Throughout the event when one of these key words is spoken by a panelist, everyone in the room (audience and panelists) drink.

The goal of this event is to draw parallels between the process of art-making in which information is gathered and distorted through the body and mind, and the activity/process of becoming inebriated.
